Combined Interview Fair for:

MacCormick Secure Center, Finger Lakes Residential Center,

and Harriet Tubman Residential Center

MacCormick Secure Center (Brooktondale), Finger Lakes Residential Center (South Lansing), and Harriet Tubman Residential Center (Auburn) are holding a combined interview fair at the Homewood Suites By Hilton in Ithaca, NY on Thursday August 18th, 2021 for immediate openings for Youth Division Aide 2, 3, and 4, Nurse 2, Licensed Master Social Worker, Psychologist 2, Associate Psychologist, and Licensed Psychologist, and Cook positions to provide direct care, guidance and supervision to youth in residential and secure juvenile justice programs for culturally diverse youth.

Youth Division Aide 2

Minimum Qualifications: 

One year of satisfactory full time experience* in the care and programming of youth** under 21 years of age; OR one year of full time experience* in the care, programming and/or secure custody of residential clients in a health care, mental hygiene or correctional institutional setting; OR high school graduation or equivalency diploma. *Appropriate verifiable part-time experience will be accepted on a prorated basis. **Direct –care experience with youth involved in the juvenile justice system or in an institutional, camp, school, community center, youth rehabilitation program, or residential center.  Satisfactory completion of the probation period must include possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle legally in New York State.

Rate:  $17.96/hour for hourly positions, $37,507 starting salary for salaried perm positions

Youth Division Aide 3

Minimum Qualifications: 

Two years full-time experience* in the care and programming of youth** under 21 years of age; OR two years of full-time experience* in the care, programming and/or secure custody of residential clients in a health care, mental hygiene or correctional institutional setting; OR an associate’s degree and six months experience as described above*; OR a bachelor’s degree; OR a satisfactory equivalent combination of the above education and experience requirements; OR a high school graduation or equivalency diploma and one year of experience* and meet physical and medical standards established for this title, as determined by a strength and agility test and by a medical examination.*Appropriate, verifiable part-time experience will be accepted on a prorated basis.**Direct care experience with youth involved in the juvenile justice system or in an institution, camp, school, community center, youth rehabilitation program, or residential center.

Rate:  $21.24/hour for hourly positions

 

Youth Division Aide 4

Minimum Qualifications: 

Two years full-time experience* in the care and programming of youth** under 21 years of age; OR two years of full-time experience* in the care, programming and/or secure custody of residential clients in a health care, mental hygiene or correctional institutional setting; OR an associate’s degree and six months experience as described above*; OR a bachelor’s degree; OR a satisfactory equivalent combination of the above education and experience requirements; OR a high school graduation or equivalency diploma and one year of experience* and meet physical and medical standards established for this title, as determined by a strength and agility test and by a medical examination.*Appropriate, verifiable part-time experience will be accepted on a prorated basis.**Direct care experience with youth involved in the juvenile justice system or in an institution, camp, school, community center, youth rehabilitation program, or residential center.

Rate:  $23.80/hour for hourly positions

Nurse 2

Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State, AND one year of post-RN licensure clinical nursing experience; OR, for current state employees: One year of permanent competitive service as a Nurse 2 or eligible for a 70.1 transfer.

Salary Range: $50,722 – $64,557: Extra salary may be possible dependent upon location and assigned shift. This may be discussed during the interview.

Licensed Master Social Worker 2

Minimum Qualifications: 

Licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) AND have one year of post-Licensure professional social work experience.

Salary Range:  $62,726 – $79,577

Licensed Psychologist

Minimum Qualifications: 

Open Competitive: Licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State. Transfer Opportunity: One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer.  Promotional Opportunity: Licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State; AND one year permanent competitive service as an Associate Psychologist or Psychologist 2. Must maintain a valid New York State license and registration.

Salary Range: $81,446-$102,661

 

Associate Psychologist

Minimum Qualifications: 

Earned doctoral degree in a field of psychology; AND either a one-year, full-time clinical internship or traineeship; OR one year of psychology experience in a clinical setting, under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist.

Salary Range:  $73,284 – $92,693

Cook

Minimum Qualifications: 

Three years of experience in large-scale cooking, one year of which must have included regular supervision of subordinate employees or working inmates. Large scale is defined as 300 meals daily.

Rate:  $20.09/hour for hourly positions, $41,953 starting salary for salaried perm positions
