We are looking for a motivated Building Materials & Lumber Salesperson to join our team!

Job Description

This position is a combination of sales and store upkeep, perfect for someone who enjoys working with customers while also keeping the store organized and well-stocked. The ideal candidate will have experience in building materials, lumber, or construction and be comfortable assisting with stocking, organizing, and maintaining the store.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and recommendations based on their needs
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a well-organized and stocked store, including restocking shelves and rotating inventory
• Provide expert advice on lumber, building materials, and hardware products
• Keep up with industry trends and product knowledge to better assist customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store
• Work as a team to ensure excellent customer service and a smooth store operation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of lumber, building materials, and hardware products necessary
• Prior experience in retail sales or customer service (preferred)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills for processing sales and inventory
• Ability to interpret blueprints for estimating is a plus but not required
• Friendly and professional attitude with a customer-first mindset
