Our busy companion animal practice is seeking a Veterinary Assistants for a full time position but would consider part time for the right person. Also  a part time Client services specialist position is available. We offer on the job training if this is your first time considering a career in the veterinary industry.

Our team members support and enhance the compassionate, long-term relationships we build with our clients and their pets. We have a strong focus on providing a high level of care in a friendly, caring atmosphere. The technical members of our team work closely with our veterinarians to promote the health and well-being of the pets we care for. Each member of our team is cross trained to a some degree in all aspects of hospital care. We treat cats, dogs, avian, small mammals and reptiles so a love of all creatures is necessary.

Veterinary Assistant duties include: intake of hospitalized and boarding pets, monitoring and care of patients during their stay, restraint of pets for exams and diagnostic procedures, handling and processing biological samples, assisting veterinarians with appointments, assisting with surgery preparations and post-anesthetic care, client education, discharges of patients, phone contact with clients, financial transactions, light cleaning, appointments, medical record maintenance and other service duties.

Client service specialist engage the owners and strive to give them the best possible consumer experience. Scheduling, client education and appointment management are the main activities.

Position requirements: a love of working with people, attention to detail, enjoyment of cleaning tasks, ability to work independently and within a team, excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, ability to use and adapt to computer programs, great attention to detail, and a willingness to become a constructive member of our team. Must be comfortable speaking with and educating clients.
This job does require working a few weekend hours on a rotating basis.
