Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain/Inventory Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records, and optimizing supply chain processes. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution, procurement, and data analysis to support effective inventory management and decision-making. This role also performs domestic and international shipping and receiving of product.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain and process inventory at the site level. Responsible for all shipping and receiving functions at the site level. Responsible for the inspection and quality of all parts entering inventory.
Procurement: Manage on a day-to-day basis the purchases for daily orders. Provide senior management with identification of approved vendors. Data entry of all Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders.
Inventory Control: Receive in all incoming products into the MRP system and post to proper stock location.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Purchasing raw materials from daily requirements report. Which may include optical, metal, and manufacturing tools.
· Shop best price at qualified vendor base.
· Material needs forecasting for high usage items
· Maintain purchasing file for record keeping and follow up
· Maintain manufacturing with proper level materials
· Generate all Purchase Requisitions/Convert to Purchase Orders
Vendor relations:
· Maintaining contacts, updating their information.
· Communicating with key vendors
· Vendor expediting to report to weekly meeting
Consumable purchasing:
· Paper goods, chemicals, and others
Inventory Control:
· Receiving
· Shipping/Domestic & International
· Follows all Standard Operating Procedures as they relate to Shipping, Receiving and Inventory
· Follows all ITAR -Tariff code Import/Export Regulations on all International Shipments
· Inventory Posting- Stock Locations
· Inventory Cycle Counts- Reports all variances to Site Controller
· Inventory Annual Audit
· Accurate records of all inventories (Transactions withing GSS)
· Manages the timely transaction of received stored material and product
· Comply with Company’s EH&S, and Environmental policies

· Report to your direct supervisor about any observed employee accidents or personal injury immediately
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Training: Required: HS Diploma- Mathematics
Experience: Required: One or more years’ experience in areas of either material control or inventory control
Knowledge/Skills: Skilled in use of Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent written and verbal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent math skills

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

· BODY POSITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time. The individual must also maneuver around the plant and climb stairs.
· BODY MOVEMENTS: The employee must have a full range of body movements including use of hands to finer, handle, or feel objects, computer equipment and peripherals; and bending, reaching, and crouching.
· BODY SENSES: Must have command of these senses: sight, hearing, touch and smell (if applicable). Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. These vision requirements in each area must be sufficient to shift in focus from computer screens to close forms.
· STRENGTH: Must frequently lift and carry 20 pounds and occasionally lift 30 pounds.
· Daily Activity Estimates: Standing 40% Sitting 40% Walking 20% and lifting up to 30lbs

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
